The implementation of an agroforestry system at the Yagma school proves once again its beneficial aspect! It is after a rainy episode that a noticeable difference can be observed between the plot and a soil devoid of vegetation.
On the side of the agroforestry surface, water is absorbed while the compressed soils around it do not absorb anything. The water then gullies there and creates floods in the neighborhood.
Thus, the whole interest of this system lies in the roots of the trees which make it possible to collect the water, but also to fix the soils.
