The Traversine garden under the snow

Snow and cold weather enveloped the Traversine garden this week. Some plants that had resisted until then, such as the nasturtium, did not survive the winter conditions. Spinach and beetroot braved the cold before making a strong comeback. As for the lemon tree, it was placed in one of the mini greenhouses in the garden in the autumn to spend the winter in warmth.

It should be remembered that some plants need the cold in order to develop and even bear fruit. This is the case of the vine in particular, one variety of which climbs up the pergola of herbs.
