The Sare Tamou garden in Dawady, Senegal

posted in: Dawady

Sare Tamou is one of the five gardens located on the outskirts of Dawady where The Ivory Foundation has financed the establishment of a market garden perimeter cultivated by a group of women.

In order to protect the crops from the sun but also from the intrusion of stray chickens, the women have mosquito nets on their plots. A reinforcement of the fence is also planned to remedy this issue.
