The hedge of the Grand Potager

Last week we received twenty shrub seedlings at the Grand Potager for the creation of a gourmet hedge. It will have two functions: to produce small fruits and berries for the visitors of the vegetable garden but also to create a protection against the wind when the small shrubs will have grown.

This summer a large number of tomato plants were damaged by the mistral wind, which significantly reduced the yield. We would like to avoid this again, and this hedgerow will help in the coming years.
