The Bercy scarecrow

During an afternoon in extracurricular time, the children of Bercy school went to the UMCEBO gallery and were able to discover an exhibition organized by the association Desining Hope. This exposition has been realized to the benefit of Desining Hope’s “Uniform & Differences” action. This action consist in school uniforms distribution to underprivileged children in southern Africa.

The photographs presented the collections of the South African stylist Thebe Magugu, presented in fields, on scarecrows.

The children were thus invited to make their own scarecrow, with different materials available (wooden sticks, twine, straw, raffia, dry grass) as well as an African school uniform from South Africa, thus making the link between the children of Bercy and the children of South Africa.
