Some news of the Grand Potager of Fontenille

New descriptive panels have been installed in the Grand Potager de Fontenille to better accompany and inform visitors as they wander through the garden. In addition, signposts have also been placed in the alleys of the Fontenille estate to facilitate access to the vegetable garden.

The installation of these signs is in line with the introduction of a “treasure hunt” which aims to sensitise children to the environment, permaculture and agroecology in an educational and playful way. This treasure hunt takes place in the garden but also thourgh a small nearby forest. Numerous themes are tackled: birds, lasagne culture, aromatic herbs, compost, mandala etc…

A small booklet with all the instructions is distributed to children and parents at the beginning of the treasure hunt. Also included in this booklet are several pages of games based on the themes discussed in the garden. This booklet is free and children can of course take it home if they wish.

Good aventure !
