Garden vegetables used for canteen meals

In 2017, The Ivory Foundation funded the construction and running costs of a canteen for the school’s children. Meals are charged at a very low price to encourage families to offer this meal to their children. (75 FCFA, or about 15 cents).

Nowadays, the garden contributes largely to the preparation of the meals, in particular to realize the sauces which accompany the rice, providing a source of fresh vegetables and vitamins.
The pupils bring their lunch bowl in the morning, and come to get it full at the lunch break.
Meals are taken in the classrooms.
