The objective will be to enrich and develop the sensory skills of children while discovering the characteristics and names of some common aromatic plants.

Parsley: It is the grass best endowed with vitamin C. Can be used raw, or cooked. It also provides folic acid (whose anti-anemic role is essential for infants and prospective mothers).

Mint: Calming and digestive, it is used raw in taboule and fruit salads, but also in infusion, in water or in tea.

Basil: Basil is widely used in Italian cuisine. Some of its varieties are also prevalent in some Asian cuisines.

Chive: Chives are a perennial plant, close to the onion, whose leaves serve as a condiment in salads, omelettes and sauces.

Coriander: Coriander leaves, with a pronounced and delicious taste, are generally used fresh or in accompaniment or condiment. Dried fruits are also used as spices. Coriander is also known for its digestive properties

Rosemary: It is a beautiful evergreen shrub with small leathery shiny leaves, with pretty blue flowers. Rosemary perfumes fish and pork.

Thyme: “Ordinary” or “lemon-smelling”, thyme is widely used in cooking. It is a major component of the bouquet garni. Thyme-lemon deliciously raises the taste of fish. This plant dries and keeps perfectly. Thyme is a natural disinfectant. The thyme herbal tea helps to relieve the affections due to the cold (cold, flu, aches, chills, angina), and to calm the irritated throats and the cough. It can also relieve difficult digestion and stomach ache.

Sage: Sage owes its name to its medicinal virtues (from the Latin salvare: to save). An original and pleasant use: sage tea. The dried leaves retain much of their aroma.Very digestive, it is welcome in herbal tea after a meal a little heavy. In the kitchen, slip only one to two leaves because its perfume is heady.

Savory: Very tasteful, the savory is used with beans, stuffing, cooked dishes.

Lavender: Its blue flowers embellish the linen or perfume the water of the bath (hence its name). Reproduce seedlings in the spring. Pick the flowers as soon as they open. Have them dry head down in a warm, dry place. A lavender herb tea, a cushion stuffed with lavender under the pillow, prepare for a
good night. Inhaling lavender also helps to cure sinusitis.
